Hello.
Every time l print a PDF - regardless of the application l print from - it has a slight shadow behind the text (and music notation).
When l photocopy it works fine. When l print from Word it works fine. I've tried the 'align printer' option and it prints the test page perfectly. I've also just updated to Catalina from Mojave but that wasn't the problem either!
I'm really confused and frustrated with this situation. I've searched online extensively but to no avail.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks.

If the issue occurs only while printing PDF documents, this could be an application-specific issue.
Update the Adobe reader or reinstall it.
Try printing the PDF document as an image and check if that helps. Refer to this document.
Update the printer firmware
