Hi @TETELOVEEEEEEE,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you are trying to change your print settings from black and white to color on your MacBook Air using your HP DeskJet 4255e printer, follow these steps:
1. Open the Document
- Open the file you want to print in any application (such as Preview, Pages, or Microsoft Word).
2. Open the Print Dialog
- Go to the menu and click File > Print (or press Command + P).
3. Select Your Printer
- Ensure that the HP DeskJet 4255e is selected in the printer dropdown.
4. Access Print Options
- In the print dialog, you might see a simple view by default. To access more detailed options, click on Show Details (if available).
5. Change Color Options
- Look for a drop-down menu, typically labeled Layout or Print Settings.
- From this menu, select Color Options or Media & Quality (the label may vary depending on the application and driver version).
6. Select Color Printing
- In the Color Options section, you should see a setting for Color Mode. Change this setting from Black and White or Grayscale to Color.
7. Save Settings (Optional)
- If you want these settings to be applied to future prints, look for an option like Presets. You can save these settings as a new preset by choosing Save Current Settings as Preset.
8. Print
- Once you've changed the settings to color, click Print to start printing your document in color.
Refer to this document: HP DeskJet 4255e All-in-One Printer User manual
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
