Hi @Text-24,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be glad to help you!
I understand that you are having issues with the print settings.
If your HP DeskJet 2721e All-in-One Printer is not printing the last edge of your document, this issue is often related to page settings or margin settings. Here are steps you can follow to troubleshoot and resolve the problem:
1. Check Page Size and Layout Settings:
- Correct Paper Size: Ensure the paper size in the printer settings matches the paper you are using (e.g., A4, Letter).
- Go to Printer Preferences and select the correct paper size.
- Orientation and Scaling: Verify that the orientation (Portrait or Landscape) and scaling options are correctly set to fit the content on the page.
- No Scaling or Shrink to Fit: Choose the option like "Fit to Page," "Shrink to Fit," or ensure "Scale" is set to 100%.
2. Adjust Margins in Document:
- Check Margins: In the document you are printing (e.g., Word, PDF), ensure that the margins are not too small.
- Increase Margins: Adjust the margins slightly larger to ensure no content gets cut off.
3. Print Settings in the Application:
- Print Preview: Use Print Preview to see how your document will look when printed. Adjust settings if necessary.
- Borderless Printing (if available): Enable borderless printing if you need to print edge-to-edge, but be aware this might not be available for all paper sizes or types.
4. Update Printer Drivers:
- Update Drivers: Ensure that your printer driver is up-to-date. Download the latest driver from the HP Support website.
- Install the Driver: Install the downloaded driver and restart your computer.
5. Use HP Smart App:
- HP Smart App: Use the HP Smart app to adjust print settings. This app often provides more detailed print settings and options.
- Adjust Print Options: Set print options through the HP Smart app, including print quality, paper type, and layout adjustments.
Please find the remaining steps in the next post.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance

Hi @Text-24 ,
Please find the remaining steps below.
6. Check Paper Tray and Print Settings:
- Paper Tray Settings: Ensure the paper is correctly loaded in the tray and that the paper guides are snug against the paper edges.
- Check Print Quality: In the printer settings, ensure that the print quality is set appropriately. Sometimes, using a higher quality setting helps with printing edge details.
7. Reset Printer Settings:
- Factory Reset: Resetting your printer settings can sometimes resolve print issues.
- To reset, disconnect the power cable while the printer is on, wait 60 seconds, then reconnect and turn the printer back on.
8. Use Different Applications for Printing:
- Try Another App: If you're having trouble with one application, try printing from another, such as Adobe Reader for PDFs or a different text editor for documents, to see if the issue persists.
9. Check for Firmware Updates:
- Update Firmware: Check if there is a firmware update available for your printer. Updates can often resolve compatibility and print quality issues.
10. Paper Size Settings on the Printer:
- Control Panel Settings: On the printer's control panel, check that the paper size setting matches the size you’re using.
You may also refer to this document for more information.
If these steps don’t resolve the issue, you may need to contact HP Phone Support for further assistance, as there could be a hardware issue with the printer itself.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
