Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

I have an HP Photosmart 5520 printer. When I print off a letter to use for school, the printer has been skipping some of the actual alphabetic letters on my papers or letters. I have done all of the troubleshooting and have realigned the printers and cleaned the ink smears but nothing has changed. The black ink is perfectly fine, it isn't low. I print in black and white and not color because the color ink is out. The black ink is not very dark either. It is very light and again it keeps skipping some of the alphabetic letters! It's very frustrating. If someone could help me out that would be great. Thank you!!

@abuck11, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

This printer needs all the 4 ink cartridges to have minimum amount of ink to be able to print even if you are only printing in black. Replace the empty ink cartridges for better print quality.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
