I must have setup the printer to automatically order replacement ink cartridges - but I don't want this feature anymore.  How do I disable/uninstall/turn it off?

Hi @DiMaddie,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To disable the automatic ink ordering feature for your HP Photosmart 6520, you need to cancel the HP Instant Ink subscription. Here are the steps to do so.

Log in to Your HP Instant Ink Account:

  • Go to the HP Instant Ink website.
  • Sign in with your HP account credentials.

Navigate to Your Account Settings:

  • Once logged in, find the "My Account" or "Account Settings" section.

Manage Your Subscription:

  • Look for your printer listed under the "My Printers" section.
  • Select the printer and find the option to manage or cancel the subscription.

Cancel the Subscription:

  • Follow the prompts to cancel the subscription. Make sure to confirm the cancellation.

Confirm Cancellation:

  • You should receive a confirmation email once the cancellation is complete. Make sure to keep this email for your records.

Disable Web Services (Optional):

  • On your printer's control panel, go to the "Setup" or "Web Services" menu.
  • Find the option to disable Web Services, which can also stop any automatic features linked to HP’s online services.

After canceling your subscription, you can continue to use your printer with regular ink cartridges purchased from retail stores.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
