Product: HP Photosmart C4680 All-in-One Printer
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

How do I align the cartridges under windows 11 for my printer. Hp Smart finds the printer but returns "printer status unknown" and none of the tools work. The printer is printing a slight shadow on all the letters.

Copies fine the problem shows itself when printing PDF's downloaded from the internet. e.g. Utility invoices.

If the copy is fine that confirms you have a software/driver issue, nothing to do with cartridge alignment.

I agree with you that its likely a driver issue. I have tried the latest drivers for windows 12 but the problem remains and HP don't seem to support this printer any longer. Not sure where I go from here.
