Hi @stevedlow ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand a green and yellow color cast on printed photos can happen due to various factors, including printer settings, printhead alignment, or color calibration.
Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:
- Check Ink Levels: Ensure that your ink tanks are sufficiently filled, especially the cyan, magenta, and black inks, as low ink levels can cause color imbalances.
- Run Printhead Cleaning: Go to the HP Smart app or printer settings and perform a printhead cleaning cycle. This can help clear any clogs or alignment issues that might be affecting color accuracy.
- Align Printheads: Aligning the printheads can also improve print quality. This option is available in the HP Smart app or your printer’s control panel under maintenance or tools.
- Color Calibration: Some HP printers have a color calibration or color correction option. Check in the printer’s settings or HP Smart app to see if this is available for your model and run it if it is.
- Print Settings: In the print dialog box, ensure the color mode is set to "Color" (not grayscale), and select the best print quality. Also, make sure you’re using the correct paper type setting, as choosing the wrong one can alter colors.
- Use HP Photo Paper: If you're not already, try printing on HP-branded photo paper, as other paper brands or types may affect color output.
- Update Printer Firmware and Software: Make sure your printer firmware and the HP Smart app are up to date, as updates can improve print quality and fix issues. Update the firmware on an HP printer
