Ink tank 670 printer is not printing the pink color

I understand your HP Smart Tank 670 is not printing pink color, here are a few steps you can try to resolve the issue:

 

Check Ink Levels:

  • Open the HP Smart app or the printer's control panel and check the ink levels for all colors. Ensure that the pink (or magenta) ink is not empty or low.

Inspect Ink Cartridges:

  • Open the printer’s ink cartridge compartment and ensure the pink (magenta) cartridge is installed correctly. Remove and reinstall the cartridge to ensure it's seated properly.

Clean Printhead:

  • Use the cleaning function from the HP Smart app or the printer’s control panel. This will help clear any clogs in the printhead that might be causing color issues.

Perform a Printhead Alignment:

  • Sometimes, improper alignment can cause color issues. You can usually find this option in the HP Smart app or the printer’s settings.

Print a Test Page:

  • Print a diagnostic or test page to see if the pink color is missing on all types of prints or just specific documents.

Update Printer Firmware: Update the firmware on an HP printer

  • Ensure that your printer’s firmware is up-to-date. Check for any available updates through the HP Smart app or the HP website.

Replace the Ink Cartridge:

  • If the pink cartridge is old or potentially defective, consider replacing it with a new one.

Check for Firmware or Software Issues:

  • Occasionally, issues can arise from software conflicts. Make sure the HP Smart app and printer drivers are updated to the latest versions.
