Hi @Mike1347,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Blurry printing with PDF documents, especially when test pages look fine, can be caused by several factors, including the print quality settings in the PDF reader or printer settings. Here are some steps to resolve the issue.

Check Print Quality Settings:

  • Open the PDF file in your PDF reader.
  • Go to Print and select Properties or Preferences.
  • Make sure the Print Quality or Resolution is set to a high level, such as “Best” or “High.”

Update Printer Drivers:

  • Go to HP’s Support Page and check for the latest drivers for your HP DeskJet 4255e printer.
  • Install any updates, as newer drivers may improve print quality.

Adjust PDF Reader Settings:

  • In Adobe Reader or your preferred PDF software, go to File > Print > Advanced and ensure Print as Image is checked. This can sometimes help with PDF print clarity.

Check Paper and Cartridge Alignment:

  • Confirm that you’re using the correct paper type and that cartridges are properly aligned, as this can also impact quality.

Try Printing from Another App or Device:

  • If the problem persists, try printing the same PDF from another PDF reader or device to see if the issue is software-related.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
