HP OfficeJet Pro 8025 All-in-One Printer

Please remind me how to replace ink cartridges in my HP OfficeJet Pro 8025. I don't remember how to cause the cartridge carrier to move to the center of the rail so that I can replace the old cartridges.

Hi @BugMan3,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To replace the ink cartridges on your HP OfficeJet Pro 8025, follow these steps.

  • Power On the Printer: Ensure your printer is turned on.
  • Open the Ink Cartridge Access Door: Lift the ink cartridge access door. The printer will automatically move the ink cartridge carrier to the center for easy access.
  • Wait for the Cartridge Carrier to Stop: Once the carrier stops moving and is idle, you can proceed.
  • Remove the Old Cartridge: Gently press down on the cartridge you want to replace to release it, then pull it out of the slot.
  • Insert the New Cartridge: Take the new cartridge out of its packaging and remove the protective tape (if there is any). Hold it by the sides with the contacts facing the printer, and slide it into the correct slot until it clicks into place.
  • Close the Ink Cartridge Access Door: Lower the door. The printer may run an alignment process automatically, or you might need to start it manually if prompted.

After these steps, your HP OfficeJet Pro 8025 should be ready to print with the new ink cartridges!

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
