I purchased the HP Deskjet 3755 for my home office. I don't use it often, I maintain it well, I go through all the troubleshooting, and I am an instant ink subscriber. The quality I have gotten from it is disgusting. I think I was able to print about 30 pages from it before the print quality was just irredeemably poor. The complete lack of service options from HP just compounds the issue. This is the stuff that makes a convincing sell that commercial printing is the only option because HP clearly is not equipped to support in-home printing products.

Hi @oliviamitra,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing poor print quality with your HP DeskJet 3755, especially since you've maintained it well and have a subscription to Instant Ink. There are several things you can try to improve the print quality.
Check Ink Levels and Cartridges
- Even with Instant Ink, sometimes the ink levels might be low or the cartridges might not be installed correctly. Check the status of the cartridges and make sure they’re inserted properly.
- Also, ensure that you’re using genuine HP cartridges, as non-HP ones can lead to poor quality printing.
Run Printer Diagnostics
- Go into the printer’s settings and run a diagnostic or print quality test. This can usually be found in the printer’s maintenance section.
- It may also give you a report of what could be causing the poor quality, such as clogged nozzles or alignment issues.
Clean the Printhead
- If there’s ink buildup or clogs, it can affect print quality. Many HP printers allow you to clean the printhead through the software or the printer control panel.
- If cleaning through the software doesn’t help, you can try manually cleaning the printhead with a lint-free cloth and distilled water (make sure the printer is off and unplugged).
Align the Printhead
- Incorrect alignment can cause blurry or distorted prints. Check the printer settings or control panel for an option to align the printhead, and follow the instructions carefully.
Check for Paper Issues
- Make sure you're using the correct type of paper for your printing needs (such as standard printer paper for regular documents).
- Using old or low-quality paper can affect print quality as well.
Update Printer Drivers and Firmware
- Ensure your printer drivers are up-to-date. Sometimes, outdated drivers or firmware can cause print quality issues.
Check Print Settings
- Sometimes, the print quality setting is set to "Draft" or "Economy" mode, which can result in lighter or poor-quality prints. Make sure your print quality is set to "Normal" or "Best" when printing important documents.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
