Hi
I am suddenly having issues with poor quality colour printing. I have sufficient ink in the tank and have gone through cleaning the print head. The print quality page shows no yellow at all and reduced quality colour on the blue and magenta. I don't colour print very often. Do I need a new colour print head or is there something else wrong that I can fix??
Any help gratefully received.
Thanks

Hi @Gaye611,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It's unfortunate that you're experiencing issues with the color printing quality on your HP Smart Tank Wireless 455. If you've already confirmed that there is sufficient ink in the tank and you've performed print head cleaning without improvement, there are a few additional steps you can take.
- Check Ink Levels and Date: Ensure that the ink levels are not low and that the ink has not expired. If the ink is old, it might not perform as expected.
- Run Deep Cleaning: Some printers have an option for deep cleaning or head cleaning. This process uses more ink but can be more effective in clearing clogs.
- Align the Print Heads: Your printer may have an alignment option. Running an alignment can help ensure that the colors are properly placed on the page.
- Update Printer Drivers: Make sure you have the latest drivers for your printer. Sometimes, outdated or incompatible drivers can cause printing issues.
- Use Genuine HP Ink Cartridges: Ensure that you are using genuine HP ink cartridges. Compatible or refilled cartridges might not provide optimal performance.
If, after trying these steps, the issue persists, it's possible that the color print head may need replacement.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
