Print Quality
03-11-2021 01:44 PM

Recently purchased an HP Officejet 8025e. I have began to notice some print quality issues with the black ink cartridge. That being said the print quality is okay when the ink cartridge is brand new, however, it is my understanding that printers will completely stop printing if an ink cartridges dips below a certain level to prevent bad quality prints. The problem I am experiencing is with the black ink cartridge which will continue attempting to print thus printing several bad quality prints and eventually blank pages. All of the color ink cartridges will stop prints when the ink dips below a certain level and will prompt a cartridge replacement before commencing again. Is there a fix for this issues or a reason why this is happening?
It is not the black ink cartridge as we have gone through multiple HP black ink cartridges at the expense of several bad quality prints when the ink is low. It would be nice if it just stopped printing like the other ink cartridges when they are low.

Welcome to the HP Support Community.
The Printer will not stop printing as such unless there's an error message thrown.

It could be. May be we can try a firmware update: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/ish_1776648-1643972-16
Let me know if this helps.
