My Envy 6020e All In One printer worked fine with printing, scanning, etc until about one month ago. Suddenly it would not print documents (Libre Office - also if I convert the files to a MS-file) - it happend 'over night'.
It sounds as if it is printing, but the pages/outcome are blank.
I have no problems with printing pdf-files, mails, and so on.
Therefore it has nothing to do with the cartridges and so on - it prints a test-page okay.
When I try to print, I can see the print preview - and as I did write: The printer sounds as if it's printing.
I have no other printers, so I cannot choose a 'wrong' printer.
I'm using windows 11 - version version 24H2. I updated to this version later than when Libre Office stopped working according to printing documents.

HP Scan & Print didn’t find anything.

I have also uninstalled Libre Office, and updated to a newer version - it did not help.
I have unpluged the printer and restarted it. I have unpluged the PC and restarted it. Nothing helps.
The 'non-solution' is, that I convert all the files, that I want to print, into pdf-files - then I can print.
I can see, that this problem isn't new, but I haven't been able to find a solution.
I hope, that I have explained this okay - I'm an older lady from Denmark 🙂
BTW: I have been using HP-printers for the last 3 decades at least - this is the first time, that I experience this problem.
And I have been using Open Office first and now Libre Office for years too.

Gitte

Hey 🙂

As I did write:  "I have no problems with printing pdf-files, mails, and so on."
Therefore it cannot have anything to do with cartridges, printerheads, papers and so on. It prints a test-page okay.
And HP Scan-doctor do not show any problems. And I haven't been able to find new firmware/drivers or what it's called.
Have you other suggestions?
My solution right now is to convert all files I need at print of from Libre Office (.odt) to a pdf-file, and then print it.

Hi @GitteØ,

Thanks for all your patience and efforts.

Please try the additional steps mentioned below:

Update LibreOffice

Ensure you are using the latest version of LibreOffice:

Configure Printer Settings in LibreOffice

Verify and configure the printer settings within LibreOffice:

  • Open a LibreOffice document.
  • Navigate to File > Print.
  • Ensure the correct printer is selected in the Printer dropdown.
  • Click on Properties to check and adjust the printer settings.

Check for Operating System Updates

Make sure your operating system is up-to-date:

  • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
  • Check for updates and install any available updates.

If this solution hits the spot, please come back and click "Accepted Solution" to help others find the answer. And if you'd like to say thanks, select "Yes" on the bottom left of the public post, as that would make our day!

Take care, and have an amazing day!

I have done all you have mentioned during the last month. Nothing works.
And according to 'chose the rigt print', well, it's easy, because I only have this HP-printer installed.
I can't find anything wrong according to the printersettings.
It just happend 'over nigth'. The printer sounds as if it's printing, but the page came out blank 😞
So it's a mystery.
