To set up your HP printer on a Chrome OS device to print in grayscale, follow these general steps. Keep in mind that the steps may vary slightly depending on your specific HP printer model, but the general process should be similar:
Connect your HP Printer:
Make sure your HP printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Chromebook or Chromebox.
Open Settings:Click on the time in the bottom-right corner of your screen to open the system menu.
Click on the gear icon to open the Settings menu.
Access Advanced Settings:Scroll down to the bottom and click on "Advanced" to reveal additional settings.
Printer Settings:Under the "Printing" section, click on "Printers."
Add Printer:Click on the "+ Add Printer" button.
Select Your Printer:Find your HP printer in the list of available printers and click on it.
Configure Printer:Click on "Manage" to access the printer settings.
Access Additional Settings:Look for an option like "Advanced," "Options," or "Preferences."
Set Grayscale Printing:Within the advanced settings, you should find an option for color or grayscale printing. Set it to "Grayscale" or "Black and White."
Save Settings:After configuring the settings, save the changes.
Test Print:Print a test page to ensure that the changes have taken effect.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
