Hi @Laneesh,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If you're experiencing missing text or lines when printing with your HP Smart Tank 515, there are a few troubleshooting steps you can take to try to resolve the issue.
- Check Ink Levels: Make sure that your ink cartridges have enough ink to complete the print job. Low ink levels can cause incomplete printing.
- Clean Print Heads Manually: While the HP app offers a cleaning function, you can also manually clean the print heads. Remove the cartridges and gently wipe the print heads with a lint-free cloth dampened with distilled water. Be careful not to touch the nozzles.
- Check for Clogged Nozzles: If the print heads are clogged, you may need to run a more intensive cleaning cycle. Most printers have a utility for this in their settings menu.
- Use Genuine HP Ink Cartridges: Non-HP or refilled ink cartridges may cause printing issues. Ensure that you're using genuine HP ink cartridges.
- Update Printer Firmware: Check for and install any available firmware updates for your printer. Sometimes, firmware updates can resolve printing issues.
- Align Cartridges: If you're experiencing alignment issues, you can try aligning the cartridges again. Make sure to follow the alignment process carefully and ensure that the alignment page is printed correctly.
- Check Print Settings: Ensure that your print settings are correct for the type of document you're printing. Sometimes, incorrect settings can cause printing problems.
- Restart Printer: Sometimes, simply restarting the printer can resolve temporary issues.
- Check for Paper Jams: Even a small piece of paper stuck in the printer can cause printing issues. Check for any paper jams and clear them if necessary.
By following these steps, you should be able to troubleshoot and hopefully resolve the printing issues you're experiencing with your HP Smart Tank 515.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
