@Eagle24, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you're experiencing inconsistent color printing with your HP OfficeJet Pro 8035e, even after cleaning the printhead. Let's work through this together to get your printer back to top performance.
Check Ink Levels
Low or empty cartridges can cause inconsistent colors.
- On the printer control panel, go to Ink or Estimated Ink Levels.
- Replace any low or empty cartridges.
Use the HP Print Quality Diagnostic Tool
This tool can help identify and fix print quality issues.
- Open the HP Smart app on your Windows 10 S Mode device.
- Select your printer > Printer Settings > Print Quality Tools > Print Quality Report.
- Review the report for any color misalignment or missing colors.
Align the Printhead
Misalignment can cause color inconsistencies.
- From the printer control panel or HP Smart app:
- Go to Printer Maintenance > Align Printhead.
Clean the Printhead Again (Deep Clean)
If the standard clean didn’t help, try a deeper clean.
- Go to Printer Settings > Tools > Clean Printhead > Second-level cleaning (if available).
Update Printer Firmware
Outdated firmware can affect performance.
- In the HP Smart app, go to Advanced Settings > Printer Updates.
- Install any available updates.

Try a Different Paper Type
Some paper types absorb ink differently. Use HP-recommended paper for best results.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
