Hi @MGMguy,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP DeskJet 3755 All-in-One Printer prints photos and scans fine but prints documents too lightly, try these troubleshooting steps.

Check Print Settings

  • Open Print Preferences from the document print dialog.
  • Ensure Print Quality is set to Best or Normal (not Draft).
  • If available, try Grayscale Printing to see if it's a black ink issue.

Clean the Printhead

  • Open HP Smart App or Printer Software.
  • Look for Printer Maintenance > Clean Printhead.
  • Print a test page and check if the quality improves.

Check Ink Levels

  • If the black ink is low or nearly empty, replace it.
  • Even if the ink level seems okay, try installing a new cartridge.

Use the Right Paper

  • Ensure you’re using the right paper type for documents (e.g., plain paper, not glossy).
  • In Printer Preferences, set the correct paper type.

Update Printer Firmware & Drivers

  • Go to HP Support and check for updates.
  • Install the latest drivers and firmware.

Try a Different File

  • If possible, print the document as a PDF or image to see if the issue persists.
  • Try different fonts or a different program (e.g., Word vs. Notepad).

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
