I spoke to customer service about a HP63 black cartridge I purchased from Walmart about 3 weeks ago. I explained to the Rep the cartridge printed a few pages before it started erroring " cannot connect to printer" . I performed all the steps that are on the website, with the last step being replacement. The replacement cartridge has fixed the issue. Walmart will not return or replace a cartridge that has been opened, they said talk to manufacture. So now HP said they cannot do anything because my printer is out of warranty, which I knew! but not understanding why a new cartridge that HP still manufactures for an older printer is not warrantable.
So HP is fine with me spending $54.00 on a cartridge that is defective and will not replace it.

The seller must replace it. The seller sold you a defective product, and it's responsible for the product they sold.
If you buy milk in your local store, you get home and realize the milk is bad. You will return it to the local store or to the milk company?
