Hi @CDSherlock,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP Envy 6055 printer is not printing despite being plugged in and showing full ink cartridges on HP Smart, there are a few troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the issue.

  • Check Paper Tray: Ensure that there is paper loaded in the paper tray of the printer. Sometimes, if the paper tray is empty or improperly loaded, the printer may not print.
  • Restart Printer: Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for about a minute, then plug it back in and turn it on. This can sometimes reset the printer and resolve minor issues.
  • Check Printer Connection: Ensure that the printer is properly connected to your computer or network. If it's a wireless printer, make sure it's connected to the correct Wi-Fi network.
  • Print a Test Page: Use the printer's control panel to print a test page. This can help determine if the issue is specific to a certain document or application.
  • Update Printer Drivers: Make sure that the printer drivers on your computer are up-to-date. You can usually download the latest drivers from the HP website.
  • Check Print Queue: Sometimes, a stuck print job in the print queue can prevent new print jobs from being processed. Open the print queue on your computer and cancel any pending print jobs.
  • Check for Error Messages: Look for any error messages or blinking lights on the printer's control panel. These can provide clues as to what might be causing the issue.
  • Clean Printheads: If the printer has not been used for a while, the printheads may be clogged. Most printers have a utility for cleaning the printheads, which you can access through the printer's settings menu.
  • Reset Printer: If none of the above steps work, you can try resetting the printer to its factory defaults. Refer to the printer's user manual for instructions on how to do this.

If you've tried all of these steps and the printer still isn't printing, it's possible that there may be a hardware issue with the printer itself.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

Thanks for the response!  I did not have WiFi activated on the printer and once I fixed that, the issue seems to be resolved.
