Printer Photo paper

HP Recommended
hp ENVY 5660
macOS 10.14 Mojave

I have never had an issue printing photos on high gloss paper. I recently switched to hp brand Premium Plus SOFT-GLOSS paper and everything I print comes out with smeared ink. What is the issue here?

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

  • Does the copying and printing on plain paper work fine?

Refer to specs: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c05039617 to know more about photo paper used meets the printer's Paper Handling.

And, also refer to the article: https://support.hp.com/in-en/product/hp-envy-5660-e-all-in-one-printer-series/6809225/document/c0380...
How to Print Photos (Mac)

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
