HP Photosmart 5520 e-All-in-One Printer

Hi:

My printer is skipping lines when printing. I have cleaned the printhead and have attempted to align my printer.  When I placed the alignment sheet on the printer, I received a message that my printer "did not recognize the alignment sheet."  After receiving this message, I followed the instructions in an attempt to align my printer.  I have not been successful at aligning my printer.  What should I do?

@Mona03, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

The alignment is not successful because of the print quality. The alignment sheet should not have any missing lines.

Try making a standalone copy in black and color to identify the defective ink cartridge.

Check the ink levels and replace any low/empty ink cartridge.

Make sure you have tried the steps mentioned in this document to resolve this issue- Black or Color Ink Not Printing, Other Print Quality Issues

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
