HP 302XL
Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

Printer : HP Envy 4527

Ink Catridges : HP302XL

Removed and reinstalled cartridges after cleaning as requested.

Also tried resetting as instructed.

Printer still will not print.

Catridges are new and have only been used frequently.

Do not want to buy new catridges if the same thing is going to happen.

Any suggestions.

Hi @FH_21-06-56

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

It sounds like your HP Envy 4527 is still encountering issues despite cleaning and reinstalling the cartridges.

Here are some additional steps you can try to resolve the problem:

1. Check Cartridge Compatibility:

  • Ensure that the cartridges are genuine HP 302XL cartridges and compatible with your HP Envy 4527 printer.
  • Non-genuine or refilled cartridges can sometimes cause detection issues.

2. Clean the Cartridge Contacts:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Remove the cartridges and gently clean the copper-colored contacts on the cartridges and inside the printer using a lint-free cloth slightly dampened with distilled water.
  • Allow the contacts to dry completely before reinserting the cartridges.

3. Perform a Hard Reset:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for at least 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.
  • This can help clear any temporary errors.

4. Align the Printhead:

  • Use the printer's control panel or the HP Smart app to align the printhead. This process ensures that the cartridges are properly calibrated.

5. Update Printer Firmware:

  • Visit the HP Support page for your printer model and download the latest firmware updates. Firmware updates can resolve compatibility issues and improve printer performance.

6. Run HP Print and Scan Doctor:
