Operating System: macOS 12.0 Monterey

Black streaks are showing up on the paper when it runs through the copier.  We have an HP Laser Jet CP4025

 

We have recently changed the print cartridge, so that is not the issue.  Does the printer need to be serviced?

That is the transfer belt issue.

Not your printer model, but the steps for disassembly and cleaning are like 95% the same.

Inside the belt, there is a rubber cleaning blade that wipes the residual toner from the belt. The dirt, dust or toner buildup on the cleaning blade causes the belt is not cleaned good and you get those marks.
