I have an HP Envy 7640. I refilled the ink cartridge with aftermarket ink. It worked fine for a little bit and then the printer said I have used the cartridge past expected usage date or something like that. Later I get error code B84952B0 which says there's a carriage problem. It tells me to turn the printer off and on to rest the printer. It might work for a bit but then start flashing that there is a problem to rest it again or go to a blue screen with the error code. If I pull the cartridge out and put them back and turn it off and on it will work for a bit and then start the error all over again.
I ask you, If I put a new HP cartridge in, will it work correctly?

Hi @Les1776
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.
Commendable diagnosis, superb troubleshooting, and splendid description of the issue before posting. Hats off to you on that score. 😊
Please try the below suggestions and let me know if this helps.
POWER RESET
Let's do a power reset on your printer by following the steps below.
Press the Power button to turn on the printer.
With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
Wait at least 15 seconds.
Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
Note: Please connect the printer directly to a wall outlet.
If the printer does not turn on by itself, press the Power button to turn it on.
Manually clean the cartridges:
Turn the printer on.
Open the door to access the cartridges.
Wait until the carriage stops moving before you continue.
Remove the cartridge from its slot, holding it by its side.
CAUTION: Do not touch the copper-colored contacts or the ink nozzles. Touching these parts can result in clogs, ink failure, and bad electrical connections.
Lightly dampen a lint-free cloth with distilled water, and then clean only the copper-colored contacts on the cartridge and the electrical contacts located inside the printer.
Wait 10 minutes for the contacts to dry.
Reinsert the cartridge.
Close the cartridge access door.
If the error persists, repeat the previous steps to clean the cartridge and carriage contacts a second time.

I found the code info. So back to my original question, If I replace the print cartridges with new HP ink cartridges will the printer go back to normal? I'm not accusing HP of sabotaging the printer for not using their ink, it's just that's when it happened. I found "Help Please 33" had the same problem and didn't get a solution.
The error code "007C9C98" on an HP printer usually indicates a serious hardware or firmware issue, possibly related to the ink system or a problem with the printer's logic board.
HP error code "B84952B0" typically indicates a problem with the printer's memory or a communication issue. If you look at my initial message there was s different answer to this code. It had to do with the carriage.
HP error code 005A1654 typically indicates a problem with the printer's main PCA (Print Control Assembly), often resulting in a blue screen error and the display not communicating with the main PCA
