My black ink is empty so I purchased a new black ink cartridge.  It was printing fine but now it won’t print saying the color cartridges are empty,  I am not using the color at all.  They can’t possibly stop me from printing in black because my color   Cartridges are empty right?

 

is there an overide option?  If there isn’t, I am returning this printer.

This error message is usually the result of a cartridge that is not firmly seated in its designated slot. To troubleshoot the problem, begin by completely removing the cartridge from its port. Reinstall the cartridge by positioning it so that it snaps into place and is securely fastened in its slot.
