I have replaced my Ink Cartridges and am receiving an error message.  I have replaced the cartridges with the correct cartridges for my printer model. The cartridges are seated correctly in their cage.

@Brick-Reno, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer cartridge issue!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

It looks like you're dealing with an ink cartridge error even after replacing them with the correct cartridges for your printer model. Follow these steps to troubleshoot and fix the issue:

1. Reset the Printer

Perform a printer reset to recover from errors.

  1. Turn the printer off.
  2. Disconnect the power cord from the printer.
  3. Unplug the power cord from the power source.
  4. Wait 60 seconds.
  5. Plug the power cord directly to a wall outlet and to the printer.
  6. Turn the printer on to complete the reset.

2. Reseat the Cartridges

Ensure that the cartridges are properly seated.

  1. Open the door to access the cartridges.
  2. Make sure the label on the cartridge matches the label on the carriage.
  3. Verify that all the cartridges are firmly in place.

3. Clean Cartridge Contacts

Clean the ink cartridge and printhead electrical contacts.

  1. Open the door or lid to the cartridge access area.
  2. Remove the cartridge indicated in the error message from the carriage.
  3. Wipe the copper-colored contact on the cartridge with a lint-free cloth.
  4. Wipe the contact inside the printhead with a lint-free cloth.
  5. Reinsert the cartridge into its color-coded slot.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
