If you have replaced the ink cartridge on your HP OfficeJet Pro 9015 printer but it still indicates that the cartridge is out of ink, try the following steps:
Ensure Proper Cartridge Installation:
- Turn on the printer.
- Open the ink cartridge access door.
- Remove and reinsert the ink cartridge. Ensure the cartridge is correctly seated in its slot.

- Close the ink cartridge access door and wait for the printer to recognize the cartridge.
Check Cartridge Compatibility:
- Ensure the ink cartridge is compatible with your HP OfficeJet Pro 9015 printer. Use only original HP ink cartridges recommended for your printer model.
- HP OfficeJet Pro 9010 series uses the following cartridges:
- Black Ink Cartridge: HP 962 Black
- Cyan Ink Cartridge: HP 962 Cyan
- Magenta Ink Cartridge: HP 962 Magenta
- Yellow Ink Cartridge: HP 962 Yellow
Clean the Ink Cartridge Contacts:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Open the ink cartridge access door and remove the cartridges.
- Using a lint-free cloth lightly moistened with distilled water, gently clean the electrical contacts on the ink cartridges and the corresponding contacts inside the printer.
- Allow the contacts to dry completely before reinserting the ink cartridges.
Reset the Printer:
- Turn off the printer.
- Unplug the printer from the power source.
- Wait for at least 60 seconds.
- Plug the printer back in and turn it on.
Update Printer Firmware:
Kindly refer to this link to update your printer firmware.
Check for Obstructions:
- Open the ink cartridge access door and inspect for any packing materials or obstructions inside the printer. Remove any found obstructions carefully.
Use Another Cartridge:
- If the issue persists, try using another new ink cartridge. Occasionally, a specific cartridge may be faulty.
I hope this helps.
