Installing new 63XL black cartridge. Printer does not recognize cartridge. Error messages. No movement from printer. Tried non-XL 63 cartridge, same issue. Replaced the old 63XL cartridge in printer and printer works properly, even though the old cartridge is exhausted. Suggestions?

I understand that you are facing issues with cartridge error.
Update the firmware. Click here
Perform the following tasks in the order given. Use the printer after each task to see if the issue is resolved.
- NOTE: HP ENVY Inspire 7200 and 7900 series printers: Use of non-HP cartridges with modified or non-HP electronic circuitry might cause the printer to reject Original HP cartridges and reused, remanufactured, and Refilled cartridges that reuse HP electronic circuitry. From the printer control panel, go to Setup > Tools > Restore Defaults to continue printing.
- Check the cartridge numbers
- Make sure the cartridge numbers are compatible with your printer and country/region.
- Open the door or lid to the cartridge access area. Wait until the carriage stops moving before continuing.
- Check the cartridge labels and compare with the list of compatible cartridges for your printer in Which cartridges work with my HP printer?.
- If you saw the error after moving your printer from one country/region to another, you might not find ink cartridges with the number previously purchased. You might need to contact HP Support for a regionalization reset.
- If your printer is enrolled in Instant Ink, the cartridges should be marked Instant Ink. The numbers may be different from the cartridge numbers available from retailers, but your printer is designed to work with Instant Ink cartridges. See Solve problems with Instant Ink cartridges and enrolled printers for more help with Instant Ink cartridge errors.
- If you have an HP+ printer, see Can't print on an HP+ or Instant Ink enrolled printer for more help.
- NOTE:
- HP+ printers require Original HP cartridges.
- Replace any incompatible cartridges. Go to the HP Store to purchase compatible cartridges.
