Envy 4257

I recently moved abroad.  My printer was purchased in the UK and before I left I contacted your customer support to cancel my HPInk subscription.  I was told my printer would continue to work but that I would need new cartridges.

I am now in Australia and the printer does not work.  There is no HPInk service here so the almost-new cartridges I have have gone to waste.  I spent $65 yesterday on new cartridges - I even took the "old" cartridges to the shop to make sure I got the right ones - they fit in the machine but also wont work.

I am irate.  Not because things get old / break but because HP have created a device that is DELIBERATELY PROGRAMMED NOT TO WORK.  I've invested cost and increased my carbon footprint dragging it halfway around the world because YOUR AGENT WAS WRONG and now I've bought more cartridges I can't use.  What a waste!  UTTERLY DISGUSTING FOR THE ENVIRONMENT as I've got to throw away perfectly good items and go and buy more now.

Hi @Steph29,

I'd like to help!

We need to perform a regional reset on the printer to resolve this issue.

The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.

I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.

In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Forums profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
