Hi @countvlad,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Check Cartridge Installation:

  • Ensure the new cartridges are installed correctly in the appropriate slots.
  • Remove the cartridges and reinsert them to make sure they’re securely seated.

Use Genuine HP Cartridges:

  • Verify you are using genuine HP ink cartridges. Non-HP cartridges can sometimes cause compatibility issues.

Clean the Ink Contacts:

  • Power off the printer and open the cartridge access door.
  • Carefully remove the print cartridges.
  • Use a lint-free cloth slightly moistened with distilled water to clean the copper-colored contact on the cartridge and the corresponding contact inside the printer.
  • Allow the contacts to dry completely before reinserting the cartridges.

Reset the Printer:

  • With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  • Wait for at least 60 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet and then reconnect the power cord to the printer.
  • Turn on the printer and see if the error message is resolved.

Firmware Update:

  • Ensure your printer’s firmware is up to date. You can check for updates through the printer’s control panel or visit the HP Support site.

Inspect for Additional Errors:

  • Check the printer display or connected computer for any additional error messages or instructions.

Test Cartridge and Printer:

  • Test the functionality of the cartridges by inserting them into another compatible HP printer (if available) to see if the error persists.
  • If possible, try using another cartridge in your HP Officejet 6700 Premium to determine if the printer or the cartridge is the issue.

I hope this helps.
