Whether printing with color or using just black ink, everything is coming out so faint it's hard or impossible to read. There are streaks and portions of the material that are missing entirely. The ink cartridges are nowhere close to running low. I have tried resetting the DeskJet, reseating the ink cartridges, unplugging and plugging it back in, used the Print Quality Toolbox from the HP Smart app, double and triple checked all drivers and software. I have done every troubleshooting "fix" I have come across in the support pages. Nothing is working. Please help.

@NauseantGalaxy, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
Clean the Printhead:
Use the HP Smart app (or the printer's menu) to run a Printhead Cleaning.
Try the deep cleaning option if the normal one doesn't work.
Check for Dried Ink:
Look at the ink cartridges for dried ink. Wipe them gently with a soft cloth if needed.
Align the Printer:
Go to the HP Smart app or printer menu and select Align Printer to make sure everything is lined up.
Run HP Smart:
- Download and run the HP Smart. Follow the prompts to diagnose and fix common printing issues.
- Refer: Use Diagnose & Fix in HP Smart to repair common printing issues (Windows, macOS) | HP® Support
Update Printer Firmware (Update the firmware on an HP printer | HP® Support)
- Go to the HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads page. Enter your printer model number and search for the latest firmware update. Follow the instructions to download and install the firmware update.
Also, i suggest you refer to this guide: HP DeskJet 2600, 2700, 4100, 4800 printers - No black ink, wrong colors, other print quality issues ...
I hope this helps.
Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.
Take care and have a good day.
