My HP Officejet Pro 8035e is printing like this.  I've cleaned the printheads multiple times, used the cleaned the "smear" option multiple times, and then aligned the printhead multiple times.  It still looks like this.  Any words of advice?  I'm a teacher and rely on my printer so much.  Any other ideas of things I can try to fix this?

Hi @Teachermode,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you've already gone through some troubleshooting steps, which is great. Here are a few more things you could try:

  • Check ink levels: Ensure that all ink cartridges have sufficient ink levels. Sometimes low ink levels can cause printing issues.
  • Use genuine ink cartridges: Using third-party or refilled ink cartridges may sometimes cause printing problems. Ensure you're using genuine HP ink cartridges.
  • Check for firmware updates: Sometimes firmware updates can address printing issues. Check if there are any updates available for your printer model and install them if necessary. Update the firmware on an HP printer
  • Print a diagnostic page: Most printers have a diagnostic page option in the settings menu. Printing a diagnostic page can help identify if the issue is with the printheads or other components of the printer.
  • Try a different paper: Sometimes the type or quality of paper can affect printing quality. Try using a different type or brand of paper to see if it makes a difference.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
