Hi @Kayak905,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP Smart Tank 7602 All-in-One Printer is having trouble filling the ink lines properly, here are a few steps you can try to resolve the issue.

Check for Air Bubbles:

  • If there are air bubbles in the ink tubes, it may prevent ink from flowing correctly. To fix this, try gently tapping the ink tubes to dislodge any trapped air. You may also try running a few cleaning cycles from the printer’s settings.

Perform an Ink System Reset:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it for a few minutes. After reconnecting it, power it on and check if the ink lines fill properly. This can help reset the ink system and potentially clear any minor issues with ink flow.

Clean the Ink Cartridges and Printhead:

  • Dirt or dried ink could be blocking the flow. Carefully remove the ink bottles and clean the ink nozzles using a lint-free cloth or soft tissue. You can also perform a printhead cleaning from the printer's settings.

Check Ink Levels:

  • Ensure that the ink levels in the tank are sufficient. If the levels are too low, the ink flow might be insufficient, causing the lines not to fill.

Reinstall the Ink Tanks:

  • Remove the ink bottles and carefully reinstall them, making sure they are securely seated. Sometimes improper installation can cause ink flow issues.

Run a Printer Diagnostic:

  • Use the printer’s built-in diagnostic tools to check for any specific issues with the ink system. This can often help identify problems that are not immediately obvious.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
