Every time I try to printer something, the printer return wit a error message that says I have to put paper in tray 1

This behaviour is caused when you try to print a document on paper that is not installed in the printer. The default settings for tray 2 are typically any size any type. You need to change the settings on the printer to match the paper that you have loaded and then the printer should print automatically from tray 2. Typical standard settings would be letter size and plain paper for the type. You can also check the default preferences to make sure that the default paper type in the driver is letter size plain paper. 

 

To access this setting will depend on whether you have a MAC or Windows PC.
