I just installed new ink cartridges and now it's only generating blank pages.  I have cleaned the print heads numerous times, ran alignment several times, the protective strips are off the cartridges and I cannot seem to get support from hp at all.  When I look at the printer preferences there are three of the same (8025) printers listed and no information on them.  I'd appreciate any help anyone could offer. This happened before and the hp support person talked me through the changes that needed to happen.

@NYDOLL, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Blank Pages in HP Printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If your printer is still generating blank pages after cleaning the printheads, installing new ink cartridges, and ensuring that the protective strips have been removed, here are a few steps you can try to resolve the issue:

Check Ink Cartridge Installation: Ensure that all ink cartridges are seated properly in their respective slots. Sometimes, if they are not properly clicked into place, the printer may not be able to utilize them.

Printhead Condition: Even after cleaning, if the printhead is damaged, it might not function properly. Consider replacing it if you suspect it is faulty Ink System Guide.

Driver and Printer Preferences:

  • Ensure that the correct printer is selected in your print dialogue.
  • Update or reinstall the printer drivers from the HP website to ensure they are not corrupted.

Printer Firmware: Sometimes, updating the printer's firmware can fix strange issues, including printing blanks.

Print Settings: Check the print settings from your computer. Ensure that the document is not set to "Print Draft" or "Print at Low Quality" which might cause issues with ink distribution.

Printer Tests and Diagnostic Tools:

  • Run any built-in printer diagnostics if available.
  • Use the printer's utility software to run a test page to see if it prints from the printer itself rather than the computer.

Default Printer Configuration:

  • If you have multiple instances of the same printer installed, remove the duplicates. Ensure the correct one is set as default.

Network and Connection Issues:

  • If the printer is connected over a network, ensure the connection is stable.
  • For USB connections, ensure that the cable is securely connected.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!

To zoey7866, thank you so much for your help!  I thought it may be drivers, but in going through the steps I discovered there were three versions of the printer connected to my MAC.  I deleted all but one and it seems to be working again.  HUZZAH!!
