Suddenly my HP office jet 4652 printer is not printing in color anymore I have tried restarting, remove and adding the printer back on to the laptop and unplugging the whole printer to restart but it still will not print in color even with a new color cartridge. I have check with the quality report and even that will not show that there is not any color in the printer. I do not know what is wrong and what i am suppose to do. For reference my computer is a mac book air.

Hi @lily2025,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you've already tried several troubleshooting steps, which is a good start. Let's try a few more things to see if we can resolve the issue:

  • Check Ink Levels: Ensure that the color ink cartridge is properly installed and has ink in it. Sometimes cartridges may appear to be full but could be defective or not properly recognized by the printer.
  • Clean Printhead: Your printer might have a clogged printhead, especially if it hasn't been used for a while. Most printers have a utility for cleaning the printhead. You can usually find this in the printer's settings menu or through the printer utility on your computer. Running a printhead cleaning cycle might resolve the issue.
  • Check Printer Settings: Make sure that the printer settings on your MacBook Air are configured to allow color printing. Sometimes settings can accidentally get changed, preventing color printing.
  • Update Printer Drivers: Ensure that you have the latest printer drivers installed on your MacBook Air. Sometimes outdated drivers can cause printing issues.  Software and Drivers for HP OfficeJet 4652 All-in-One Printer
  • Try Another Computer: If possible, try printing from another computer to see if the issue persists. This can help determine if the problem is with the printer or with the MacBook Air.

I hope this helps.
