Hi @KyoungC,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with your HP ENVY 5530 printer printing blank pages despite having full ink cartridges. Printing problems like this can be frustrating, but there are several steps you can try to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue.

Check the Ink Cartridges:

  • Ensure that the ink cartridges are securely and properly installed. Remove and reseat them if necessary.
  • Verify that you removed any protective tape or packaging that might have been on the new cartridges.
  • Check the ink levels from the printer software on your computer to make sure the cartridges are recognized as full.

Clean the Print Head:

  • Most printers have a utility for cleaning the print head. You can usually find this option in the printer's settings or maintenance menu. Run a print head cleaning cycle to clear any clogs.

Print a Test Page:

  • Print a test page to check if the issue is still occurring. You can usually do this from the printer's control panel or through the printer software on your computer.

Check for Empty Cartridges:

  • Sometimes, even if one of the cartridges is empty or malfunctioning, it can affect the printing process. Make sure all cartridges are full and functioning properly.

Update or Reinstall Printer Drivers:

  • Outdated or corrupted printer drivers can lead to printing issues. Visit the HP website and download the latest drivers for your printer model. Install them on your computer.

Reset the Printer:

  • Sometimes, a simple reset can resolve problems. Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for a few minutes, and then plug it back in. Turn the printer back on and see if it prints correctly.

Check for Firmware Updates:

  • Ensure that your printer has the latest firmware updates installed. Firmware updates can address known issues and improve printer performance.

Inspect for Hardware Issues:

  • Inspect the printer for any visible hardware problems such as paper jams or loose parts. Make sure the paper is loaded correctly in the tray.

Use Genuine HP Cartridges:

  • Sometimes, using third-party or refilled cartridges can cause printing problems. Using genuine HP cartridges is recommended for optimal performance.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
