I recently installed new ink cartridges. The printer now prints only a solid black page. I have no error messages.

Thanks for posting on the HP Support Forums. MKazi is at your service.
I understand that after installing new ink cartridges, the printer prints all black pages. I'll be glad to assist you wit this case.
To assist you better please reply with the following information:
- Is the printer able to make a photocopy (black and color) successfully?
- Are you using genuine HP ink cartridges or refilled ink?
- Did the printer go through the alignment process after installing new ink cartridges?
- If the printer is connected to a network, then are you able to print from other devices/computers (if available)?
Meanwhile, you may manually align the printer by following the below steps:
- Load Letter or A4 unused plain white paper into the input tray.
- From the printer control panel display, touch Tools .
- Touch Align Printer, and then follow the on-screen instructions.
Also, you may print a print quality report:
- Load letter or A4 unused plain white paper into the paper tray.
- From the printer control panel, touch Tools .
- Touch Print Quality Report.
Following steps will help you to clean the ink cartridges:
- Load Letter or A4 unused plain white paper into the input tray.
- From the printer control panel display, touch Tools .
- Touch Clean Cartridges, and then follow the on-screen instructions.
In case the printer is able to make photocopies successfully then you may update the Mac OS in your computer.
Also, download and install the firmware update for the printer via this Printer Firmware update.
NOTE: The printer needs to be restarted once the firmware update is complete.
I genuinely hope this fixes the issue. Feel free to keep me posted.
Cheers! 🙂
