Hi @Faye286,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to assist you.

I see that you are looking for help with enrolling in Instant Ink service.

However, if the printer was already enrolled by the previous user.

The previous user has to cancel the service first before you enroll in the service again under your account.

Kindly refer to the steps on this link to enroll in the service and let me know if that resolves the issue.

Please mark this post as “Accepted Solution” if the issue is resolved and if you feel this reply was helpful click “Yes”.

I hope this helps.

Unfortunately I brought the printer second had so do not have the details of the person that previously had the printer enrolled. Is there a way to be able to set it up without them unenrolling?

Thanks

Hi @Faye286,

Thank you for sharing the above information.

If you are planning to enroll in HP instant ink service when the printer is already enrolled by another account, you wont be able to do it.

However, you can use the printer with regular store purchased ink cartridges without any issues.
