My printer has been printing just blank pages when it still has ink. I tried replacing just the black ink, and at first it did print a few papers in black and white, but after a few weeks later returned to printing just blank pages. I ran all of the tests from the app such as cleaning the printhead/ cleaning cartridges but still nothing. I am not going to waste another twenty bucks just so that it can print what, a couple of pages? I'm very frustrated and my warranty expired about four years ago, so I have no options other than buying a new printer. I barely used this printer, and it was pretty pricey since it scans and copies. It's a HP Envy 6055 All In One Printer. Like I mentioned, I rarely used the printer. Can any professionals help me?

@Javier0113, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your HP Envy 6055!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
It sounds like your HP ENVY 6055 is experiencing a clogged printhead or an issue with the ink delivery system. Since you've already tried cleaning the printhead through the HP Smart app and replaced the black ink cartridge, here are some troubleshooting steps to try before considering a replacement:
Perform a Hard Reset
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for at least 10 minutes.
- Plug it back in and turn it on.
- Try printing a test page.
Manually Clean the Printhead
Since software-based cleaning hasn't worked, a manual cleaning may help:
- Remove both ink cartridges and set them aside.
- Take a lint-free cloth or a coffee filter and dampen it slightly with distilled water or isopropyl alcohol (70% or higher).
- Gently wipe the printhead area where ink is dispensed.
- Let it dry for a few minutes before reinserting the cartridges.
Try a Different Print Mode
- Go to Printer Properties on your computer.
- Change the print quality to "Best" or "High" instead of "Normal" or "Draft."
- Try printing again.
Check for Clogged Nozzles
- If the ink cartridge still has ink but isn’t printing, the nozzles might be blocked.
- Take a warm damp paper towel, hold the ink cartridge nozzles against it for 10–15 seconds, and then reinstall.
Use Genuine HP Cartridges
If you’re using third-party or refilled cartridges, they may not be recognized properly. Try using genuine HP ink if possible.
Try Single Cartridge Mode
- Remove one cartridge (either black or color) and print with just one to see if the issue is with a specific cartridge.
- If it prints with one but not the other, the faulty cartridge may need replacement.
Update Printer Firmware
- Go to HP official website and check for firmware updates for your printer model.
- Updating firmware can resolve software-related ink issues.
Run a Printhead Alignment
- On the printer panel or HP Smart app, look for Align Printhead or Align Cartridges.
- Follow the steps and try printing again.
I hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
