If your HP printer prints only pink tones after replacing cartridges, it usually means:
- Cyan and Black ink are not flowing properly.
- Printhead nozzles may be clogged or misaligned.
- The printer might need a printhead cleaning cycle.
Recommended Steps
1. Check Cartridge Installation
- Open the cartridge access door.
- Ensure all cartridges are genuine HP and seated firmly.
- Remove and reinstall Cyan and Black cartridges.
2. Run Printhead Cleaning
- On the printer control panel or HP Smart app:
- Go to Settings > Printer Maintenance > Clean Printhead.
- Print a test page after cleaning.
- If colors are still missing, repeat cleaning up to 3 times.
3. Align Printhead
- From the same menu, select Align Printhead.
- This ensures proper color mixing.
4. Check Ink Levels
- In the HP Smart app or printer display, confirm Cyan and Black levels are not empty.
