My printer is not printing in color. Cartridge is full and new. Have checked for updates/drivers, restarted, asked virtual assistant, etc. No luck. In excel there wasn't even an option to print color or grayscale when I went to print like there usually would be. With other files where I deselected "print in grayscale", it is still printing in grayscale. How do I get this thing to print in color as it always has??

Hi @sugaree25 ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you are facing an issue with your HP ENVY Photo 7855 is not printing in color despite having a full and new cartridge, there are several troubleshooting steps you can take to resolve the issue:
Check Printer Settings:
- Open the document you want to print.
- Go to File > Print.
- In the Print dialog box, make sure that your printer is selected.
- Click on Printer Properties or Preferences.
- Look for options related to color printing. Ensure that "Print in Color" is selected instead of "Print in Grayscale" or "Black & White."
Use the HP Smart App:
- Open the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device.
- Select your printer and go to Printer Settings.
- Check the Print Quality settings to make sure color printing is enabled.
Update or Reinstall Drivers:
- Sometimes, printer drivers can cause issues. Check for the latest drivers for your printer on the HP Support website.
- Download and install the latest drivers.
- Restart your computer and printer after the installation.
Check for Print Spooler Issues:
- Press Windows + R to open the Run dialog.
- Type services.msc and hit Enter.
- Find Print Spooler in the list, right-click it, and select Restart.
Run the HP Print and Scan Doctor:HP Print and Scan Doctor
- Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool from the HP website. This tool can help diagnose and fix printing issues.
Check Color Settings in Excel:
- Sometimes, Excel can override the printer settings. Ensure you are not in a special print mode (like Draft) which might affect color printing.
Print a Test Page:
- Go to Devices and Printers in the Control Panel.
- Right-click on your HP ENVY Photo 7855 and select Printer Properties.
- Click on Print Test Page to see if the issue persists.
Check for Firmware Updates: Update the firmware on an HP printer
