Hi @Katelynjones123,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To print without HP Instant Ink cartridges, your HP DeskJet 2752e printer should be able to function with standard ink cartridges, as long as they are properly installed. Here are a few steps to troubleshoot the issue.

Check Ink Cartridge Installation:

  • Ensure that you are using genuine HP ink cartridges, even if they're not part of the Instant Ink program.
  • Open the printer's ink cartridge access door and make sure the cartridges are correctly seated in their slots.

Check for Error Messages:

  • If you see any error messages related to the ink or cartridges, resolve them by checking the cartridges for damage, ensuring they’re installed correctly, or replacing them if necessary.

Disable Instant Ink Program (if necessary):

  • If your printer is still trying to use HP Instant Ink, you may need to disable it. You can do this by going into the printer settings either on the printer’s control panel or through the HP Smart app or web portal, and manually setting the printer to use standard ink cartridges.

Perform a Hard Reset:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source for about 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on. This can help reset the printer and may allow it to recognize the new cartridges.

Install Standard Ink Cartridges:

  • If your printer was previously using Instant Ink cartridges, make sure to replace them with standard HP ink cartridges (e.g., HP 67, HP 67XL), as Instant Ink cartridges are specially designed for the Instant Ink program and may not work outside of it.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
