Hello, after installing a new tri-color cartridge (from HP Instant Ink), I keep getting an error message that the cartridge is not properly installed. I have been using these cartridges for almost 4 years and never had a problem.
I have tried the following without success:
- Remove & reinstall cartridge
- Turn printer on & off
- Gently clean the copper sensors on the cartridge and inside printer.
- Downloaded the most recent firmware upgrade. (system indicated that it was already installed).
Is there any way this can be fixed or do I need to purchase a new printer?

I understand the black instant ink cartridge is not working. I appreciate your efforts in trying to resolve this issue by performing the necessary troubleshooting steps.
Make sure the ink cartridges are properly inserted in the printer, you may refer to - Replace HP inkjet printer cartridges
Kindly perform the steps mentioned in this document - Ink cartridge error
If the error persists, to assist you better, I would need some information related to your Instant Ink Subscription. This information cannot be shared on a public post.
