Printer notified me to install the new ink cartridge HP sent me. I did. Then lights started flashing with error message. Then it said remove paper jam. I did. Then it says ink cartridges can't move. Then blinking lights again with new and different error message. The printer/scanner doctor is no help either. Help please.

Hi @Dumbprinter1022,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you're dealing with a frustrating printer issue. Let's try some troubleshooting steps to see if we can resolve the problem.
- Restart the Printer: Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, and wait for a couple of minutes. Then plug it back in and turn it on again. Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve temporary issues.
- Check for Paper Jam: Even if you've already checked for paper jams, it's worth doing again. Make sure there's no small piece of paper stuck inside the printer that might be causing the error message.
- Check Cartridge Installation: Remove the ink cartridges and then reinstall them properly. Ensure that they are securely seated in their respective slots. Sometimes, an improperly installed cartridge can cause errors.
- Reset the Printer: Many printers have a reset option in their settings menu. Look for the reset option in your printer's menu and try resetting it to its factory settings.
- Update Printer Firmware: Ensure that your printer has the latest firmware installed. You can usually find instructions on how to update the firmware in the printer's user manual or on the HP website.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
