HP Deskjet 1000 Printer - J110a

Im trying to get my printer working. it was given to me, and was working previously. it powers on, it shows that the pc is connected (i have it connected by cord) to it though it shows offline, and it will run the paper through, but it just comes out blank. i even replaced ink cartridges in it and it shows that there full on the app. any idea of why its not actually printing?

I have a similar issue.

 

I just installed the full feature software and driver for the Deskjet 1000.   It was a printer my son used a year or two ago without issue.  Another printer in our house broke, so I decided to fire this 1000 up again using a new laptop computer.  It had been sitting around unused and powered off for many months.

 

I have it connected via cable and it shows that it's both online and has adequate ink levels.  If I try to print a test page, the printer goes through the motions, it sounds like it's working, but the test page comes out completely blank.  I've tried to print other things, too, but no dice.  Everything comes out blank.

To assist better:

 

  • Are you using genuine HP ink cartridges?
  • Does the copy print out the same way? 
  • What's the application you are trying to print from? 
  • Have you tried printing from a different application or device? 

While you respond to that, let's print a Print Quality Diagnostic page -Post the Print Quality Diagnostic page here so we can help you further. 

 

You may also refer to this document with steps to fix the " Print Quality Issues" issue applicable to your printer -  Print Quality Issues

 

Also, try updating the printer's firmware - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware
