Printer printing black background - PDF file printing from Preview

Everything looks fine on Preview but when I print, printer prints a black background... waisted a lot of ink trying to fix this problem already.

I've installed and an installed printer, checked for firmware update, changed printer quality resolution. Printed from different computers...

Brand new printer!

I understand the PDF files have a black background when printed from Mac. To assist you better, is the issue limited to printing PDF files?

If yes, this could be an application-specific issue.

  • Have you tried printing different types of documents like Word, Excel, or Webpages and check if the issue persists?

Let us try these steps to resolve this issue:

Update the printer firmware

Click here to download and install the latest printer firmware from your Mac.

Have you tried printing the PDF file using Adobe Reader app?
