- I own the HP ENVY 6000e All in one series.
- I try to print but the paper is always blank. I have already changed the ink and the ink is full and placed correctly but it keeps on giving me blank paper when I use the black and white.
- When I use the colour, the printed item comes out with light blue colour, but you can't see anything (no writing or pictures, just light blue colour) it's like it's blurred.
- To print it out: I am using MacBook Air laptop chip M1 and also I am using an IPad.
- I have tried to turn it off and turn it back on multiple times and still nothing is working.
- When I haven't used it in a long time, it gives me that it's offline although there is a stable internet connection.
- I'm not sure if it's from the paper quality, but when I first bought it which was last year, I used to use very thin paper and it still used to do that but not all the time. Now I currently use a thick paper.
Thank you for your help!

Hi @Victoria_Rahme ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you're dealing with a few issues with your HP ENVY 6000e series printer: printing blank pages, poor print quality (light blue prints), and occasional offline status, even with a stable connection. Here are a few steps to address these problems:
1. Check for Ink and Cartridge Issues
- Ensure proper ink flow: Even though you’ve replaced the ink, ensure that the protective seals were removed properly from the cartridges.
- Clean printhead: If the printhead is clogged, it can cause printing issues. You can clean it using the printer's built-in cleaning utility:
- From your printer's control panel or HP Smart app, go to Settings > Printer Maintenance > Clean Printhead.
- Align the printhead: If the printhead is misaligned, it can affect print quality. After cleaning the printhead, go to Settings > Printer Maintenance > Align Printhead.
2. Resolve Printing Blank Pages
- Update Printer Firmware: Ensure your printer is up-to-date with the latest firmware. Go to HP's support site and search for firmware updates for your HP ENVY 6000e.
- Mac Driver Update: Check that your MacBook Air has the latest HP printer drivers installed.
- Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners, and click Options & Supplies > Driver.
- You can also update via the HP Smart app.
3. Improve Print Quality (Light Blue Pages)
- Use High-Quality Paper: Try using the paper recommended for inkjet printers (standard 75-90 gsm is ideal). Thick paper can sometimes cause feeding issues and affect print quality.
- Check Paper Settings: When printing, ensure that the paper type setting matches the actual paper you're using.
- Calibrate Color Settings: Ensure that the color settings for printing are not incorrectly set. If you are printing in black and white but receiving a light blue page, check the printer driver settings:
- Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners > Options & Supplies > Show Printer Web Page, and check the color settings.
4. Fix Offline Issue
- Reset Network Settings: Since the printer occasionally goes offline, reset the printer’s network settings:
- Hold down the Wireless button and the Cancel button on your printer until the Power button flashes. This resets the WiFi.
- Reconnect to Wi-Fi: Use the HP Smart app or Printer's touchscreen to reconnect to your Wi-Fi.
- Set Static IP: You can try setting a static IP address for your printer to avoid connection issues:
- In the Printer’s Embedded Web Server (EWS), navigate to Network settings and set a manual IP address.
5. Mac and iPad Compatibility
- Ensure that your MacBook and iPad are running the latest versions of macOS and iPadOS, as software updates can help resolve printer compatibility issues.
- If printing from your iPad using AirPrint, try resetting the printing system:
- On the iPad, go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
After performing these steps, try printing a test page from both your MacBook and iPad. Let me know if the issue persists

HP DeskJet, ENVY 6000, 6400 printers - No black ink, wrong colors, other print quality issues
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
