I have an hp ink tank 319(when printing it shows 310 series and serial no. too). Printer age-2years(2023).Problem started 6 months ago. The problem is that when I print any thing in any color it prints a different color (mostly purple and pink). I tried so much methods like cleaning printheads in hp smart app(Win 10 64 bit, now upgraded to Win11,pls show solutions I can use in my Win 11 laptop), check colour level etc. nothing happened. (When cleaning printheads in hp smart app, the color comes correctly, but again, when I print something, it comes back to the same situation. When I called customer care they connected and send me an email to video call and the guy told to press some buttons and hold which doesnt work I dont know why this guy end the call, I didn't get any solutions to the day. Black and white is okay, Pls help me I am helpless now.

Hi @Qwerty123_456,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
I understand your HP Ink Tank 319 printer is printing incorrect colors — mostly purple or pink — even though the color levels appear fine and the issue temporarily improves after printhead cleaning. Let’s go through a few steps to help fix this color distortion on your Windows 11 system.
1. Run a Color Printhead Cleaning (Level 2 or 3)
Open the HP Smart app → Printer Settings → Print Quality Tools → Clean Printheads.
If you’ve already done this once, repeat and choose “Second-level cleaning.”
If the color still appears off, perform a third-level cleaning (only if prompted).
Note: Wait at least 30 minutes between cleaning cycles to prevent ink overflow.
2. Align the Printheads
In HP Smart → Printer Settings → Print Quality Tools → Align Printheads.
Follow the on-screen instructions and place the alignment page on the scanner glass when prompted.
Proper alignment ensures each color nozzle fires in the correct pattern.
3. Check Ink Flow in Cartridges
Open the top cover and verify all three color ink tanks (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow) are above the minimum fill line.
Gently tap each cartridge area near the printhead — sometimes air bubbles can block ink flow.
If you see gaps in ink flow in the tubes, run one printhead cleaning and leave the printer idle for 2–3 hours to allow pressure equalization.
4. Print a Diagnostic Quality Report
Press and hold the Power button, then press the Cancel (X) button once.
This will print a Quality Diagnostic Page.
Check if any color bars are missing or faint:
Cyan missing → Blue looks purple
Yellow missing → Red looks pink
This helps confirm which color is blocked or misfiring.
I hope this helps.

Hi @Qwerty123_456,
Thanks for the update! I understand that the diagnostic report shows blue is printing correctly, but pink and yellow are still causing color mismatches. Let’s go through some further steps to address this issue:
1. Deep Cleaning for Specific Colors
Since the issue is with pink (magenta) and yellow:
Open HP Smart → Printer Settings → Print Quality Tools → Clean Printheads.
Perform focused cleaning for magenta and yellow nozzles if the app allows.
Repeat 2–3 times, but wait 30 minutes between cycles. This helps unblock stubborn clogs.
2. Check Ink Tank Connections
Remove the magenta and yellow ink tanks.
Make sure the caps are tightly closed and the ink flow tubes are not blocked or kinked.
Reinsert the tanks firmly into their slots.
3. Shake Ink Tanks (if safe for your model)
Some HP Ink Tank models allow gently shaking the color tanks (magenta and yellow) to mix the ink evenly.
Do not shake the black tank.
4. Run Another Alignment
Even though blue is correct, misalignment of magenta and yellow can cause pink/purple issues.
Go to HP Smart → Print Quality Tools → Align Printheads.
5. Perform a Test Print
Print a small color test page from HP Smart after cleaning and alignment.
Check if yellow and magenta are printing correctly.
I hope this helps.
